Large Grading Screens - high resulting output. The new, innovative technology makes the graders superior in every aspect. Separation of small seeds can further be improved by installing a set of additional mixers to the inside of the rotary sieve drum. The total sieve area is 4m2.

Stepless Adjustments Even While Operating

Adjusting the grading speed and accuracy is easy. An adjusting crank (C) is provided for stepless adjustment of the grading drum inclination. The rotational speed of the separating drum is adjusted by means of its drive belt pulley (D). The grader will grade the input into two or three grading classes, all of which have their own individual outlet chutes (E). A fourth discharge spout (F) is for unwanted litter and chaff. Each outlet chute is further equipped with a stop gate.

Accessories include a wide range of different sieves. These are, due to their construction, favourable priced and easy to store, a note worthy point to consider if the operation of the grader calls for an extensive assortment of sieves.


Capacity will vary upon the duty (pre-cleaning, grading or seed cleaning), grain size and litter content. Typical rates:

Grading: Separation of straw and chaff + two stage grading (two identical screens on secondary sieve drum used, e.g. for malt barley) 1000 - 3000 kg/hour.

Seed Cleaning: Separation of straw and chaff + three stage grading (two different screens on secondary sieve drum used (e.g. for seed grain) 500 - 1500 kg/hour.

Pre-cleaning: Separation of straw and chaff + one stage grading 3,000 - 8,000 kg/hour.

Principle of Operation

Grain is fed into the intake spout (1). A shutter gate (2) controls the feeding rate. The primary screen (3) separates any larger pieces of litter, chaff and straw from the incoming grain. The litter is then conveyed through the inner drum unperforated extension (4) and finally fall out of the sieve drum (5) into the discharge chamber below.

There are two sequential secondary screens. If three stage grading is required, different-sized secondary screens are used. The front secondary screen (6) separates smaller litter particles, weed seeds and undersize grains (7). The main variety (8) falls out through the rear most screen (9) and the larger-sized litter and grains are carried out past the rear edge of the sieve drum (10) to fall out in to the discharge spout. When two stage grading is used (e.g. for malt barley), the screens used in the secondary sieve drum are similar in orifice size. undersized material is separated by both screens and the main variety falls out past the rear edge of the sieve drum
