AGRIVAP steam generators

The mobile Agrivab steam generators lie at the heart of our Steam Sterilization Systems. They safely and conveniently deliver steam at sufficient temperatures (generally 70 to 90 C) to destroy all pathogenic bacteria, seeds, larva etc in the soil. All models are equipped with a STEAM SUPER HEATER module which enables the steam to be heated to temperatures of between 170 and 185 C. The resulting DRY STEAM can be utilized over long distances from the steam generator and in many applications. All feed water entering the steam generator is passed through a pre-heating chamber. The pre-heating chamber heats the water which is fed in the main boiler. This pre-heating of feedwater has the distinct advantage:

  • Reduction of energy required
  • Water evaporation is reduced
  • Thermal constraints in the main boiler are eliminated

All Steam Generator

All STEAM GENERATORS are fitted with a two-stage burner, and a complete control system as standard. This allows considerable savings of energy to be achieved and ensure that the quality of steam produced is maintained at all times. Our standard STEAM GENERATORS are fitted with a fuel-oil or diesel-oil burner. They can, however, be fitted with a gas burner.

Manufactured from the highest quality steels, the materials that are utilised in the construction of the generators is superior to that required by international safety standards. There are three inspection hatches on the main boiler which greatly improve maintenance access to the main boiler assembly.

This method of sterilization reduces pollution whilst protecting the natural biological balance of the growing medium and improving the production and quality of crops.
